It’s that time of the year again – when MTV’s Video Music Awards anoint the best music, artists and visuals of the year and look to generate the controversial moments the awards show became infamous for in the ’90s and 2000s.

When and where are the VMAs?

The 2018 VMAs will air live from Radio City Music Hall on Monday, Aug. 20, at 9 p.m. EDT/PDT on MTV after a one-hour red-carpet show.
How can I watch?

Not watching via cable TV? The show will also be streamed live on MTV’s app, which still requires a cable subscription. You also can stream the show live with a DirecTV Now subscription.

When are the 2018 VMAs?

The VMAs are on at 9pm EST in the USA on Monday, 20 August, meaning they start at 2am BST on Tuesday, 21 August.
Are the VMAs on TV and is there a live stream?

The ceremony is being shown on TV in the UK but not until the following day when MTV UK will air the VMAs at 8pm (Tuesday, 21 August).
